I was up in the morning when I read a shocking News…..the great leader Nelson Mandela has died! I was very sad to hear this unpredicted news….

Nelson Mandela

 

• Born in 18^th of July, 1918.
  

• Served as the President of South Africa from 1994 to 1999.
  

• Served 27 years in prison, initially on Robben island (18 years), Pollsmor Prison and Victor Verster Prison.
  

• Won the 1993 Nobel Peace Prize, the US Presidential Medal of Freedom, the Soviet order of Lenin
  

• Often referred by his Xhosa Clan name Madiba, or as Tata ("Father").
  

• He is often referred to as the "Father of the Nation".
  

• His Books:-Long Walk to freedom, Commitments to Myself.
