          Mangalyaan - Isro's Mars Orbiter Mission spacecraft - successfully propelled itself on to an interplanetary trajectory and embarked on its 300-day journey to Mars in the wee hours of Sunday. 
          On November 19, the scientists had been positively ecstatic when the Mangalyaan - 70,000 km above the earth - sent back India's first colour images from an indigenously built camera. The scientists are now sure that other instruments on board are working fine
          Isro on Sunday declared that there would be a total of four correctional manoeuvres of the trajectory during Mangalyaan's journey to Mars. The first manoeuvre will happen on December 11. The second and the third manoeuvres are planned for April 2014 and August 2014, and the final orientation will happen 10 days before Mars orbit insertion on September 14.

Nov 7: The first orbit-raising manoeuvre of the spacecraft

Nov 8: The second orbit-raising manoeuvre of the spacecraft, with a rocket burn time of more than 9 minutes. The observed change in apogee (the farthest point in an elliptical orbit) is from 28,814km to 40,186km.

Nov 9: The third orbit-raising manoeuvre

Nov 11: In the fourth orbit-raising operation, the apogee of the spacecraft was raised from 71,623km to 78,276km by firing up the rockets and imparting an incremental velocity of 35 metres/second against planned 130 metres/second to raise apogee to about 1 lakh km.

Nov 12: Fourth supplementary orbit-raising manoeuvre of the spacecraft. Apogee raised from 78,276km to 1,18,642km.

Nov 16: The fifth orbit-raising manoeuvre. Apogee is raised from 1,18,642km to 1,92,874km.

Dec 1 : Mangalyaan is finally propelled by Trans Mars Injection operations. The liquid engine burn time was more than 22 minutes which imparted incremental velocity was 647.96 m/sec and the craft embarks on its Mars journey

On the eve of 42nd National Day of UAE

          U.A.E-the land built on dreams and visions with great visionaries to fulfill them. When I first came to the U.A.E, I was about 5 years and was studying in 1st STD. As I was small, I could not identify this country and its great potential. All I could see was sand, deserts and buildings. As I grew up, I realized this country is a nation with great possibilities.

          I live in the city of Abu Dhabi, the capital of the U.A.E and I was amazed to see all the tall buildings and lots of vehicles, long, straight roads and beautiful parks and surroundings. I realized that I was very lucky to be in a country like the U.A.E… I visited Dubai, the financial hub of the U.A.E. Dubai is a city full of amazing wonders like the Dubai Metro, the Burj Khalifa, the tallest building in the world. The Dubai Mall, which is one of the the biggest mall in the world, attracts tourists from all over the world . The U.A.E  always takes on big challenges in many fields and overcome them. I appreciate this spirit of the U.A.E. Whenever I go to Abu Dhabi or Dubai, I can see some new developments going on. And then I realized how much fast this country is developing.

          The U.A.E gives much importance to the education of the children. The country has strict rules regarding education, and provides a good atmosphere for students. I am very happy to study in the U.A.E. I am studying in The Sunrise English Private School. I have Arabic as a subject, which helps me to understand more about the U.A.E.   Science Festivals, art festivals and cultural events are regularly held which helps students like us to learn many new things.
         
           I have visited all the seven emirates in the U.A.E. The people of the U.A.E gives us respect and behaves well with all of us.

           I love  the infrastructure, the people, the rulers, the transport and everything of the U.A.E. H.H. Sheikh Zayed Bin Sultan Al Nahyan, the Father of the U.A.E, H.H.Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the U.A.E, H.H.Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktom, Vice President of U.A.E and Ruler of Dubai have played important roles in developing this country. As the U.A.E gives much importance to education, it was very helpful for me. It also has many job opportunities, which helps in the growth of this fast growing nation. And U.A.E has proved its worth by winning the bid to host the World Expo 2020.     
         
          Millions of people have migrated to the U.A.E and have made it their second home. It is a country which has a rich culture and diversity. It gives me the feeling of my home country. I am waiting to witness more progress in the growth of the U.A.E. I love U.A.E

Metro

The Dubai Metro has opened 7 more new stations. One day i went to the Metro.It was like flying on a train.And the Metro went under Dubai Creek.On the way, I saw the Burj Khalifa, Emirats Towers and Dubai International Airport Terminal 3. After all this ride, I gone to KFC and had a happy meal.And It was a wonderful time for me..........................

MY CLASS PICNIC

Last week we went for a picnic from our school.All the children along with the teachers went in a bus.We went to 'Sparky,s' in Mazyad Mall.It has a big play area with many rides for children.I enjoyed all the rides like the Himalaya ride,roller-coaster,swing and the car ride.What I enjoyed the most was the play area with slides and the pool of balls.They also prouvided us with snaks and drinks.We came back to school at around1'o'clock.I enjoyed my class picnic and it was
 the most memorable day in my life.

The United Nations Climate Change Conference was held at the Bella Center in Copenhagen, Denmark, between 7 December and 18 December 2009. The conference included the 15th Conference of the Parties (COP 15) to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change and the 5th Meeting of the Parties (COP/MOP 5) to the Kyoto Protocol. According to the Bali Road Map, a framework for climate change mitigation beyond 2012 was to be agreed there.^[2]

The conference was preceded by the Climate Change: Global Risks, Challenges and Decisions scientific conference, which took place in March 2009 and was also held at the Bella Center. The negotiations began to take a new form when in May 2009 UN Secretary General Ban-Ki Moon attended the World Business Summit on Climate Change in Copenhagen, organised by the Copenhagen Climate Council (COC), where he requested that COC councillors attend New York's Climate Week at the Summit on Climate Change on 22 September and engage with heads of government on the topic of the climate problem.^[3]

Connie Hedegaard was president of the conference until December 16, 2009, leaving the chair in the final stretch of the conference, in which negotiations included heads of state and government, to Danish Prime Minister Lars Løkke Rasmussen.^[1] On Friday 18 December, the final day of the conference, international media reported that the climate talks were "In disarray".^[4][5][6] Media also reported that in lieu of a summit collapse, a "weak political statement" was anticipated as the conference's end product.^[7][8]

The Copenhagen Accord was written by the US, China, India, Brazil and South Africa on December 18, being called a "meaningful agreement" by the United States government. It was "recogised", but not "agreed upon", in a debate of all the participating countries the next day but it was not passed unanimously. The document recognised that climate change is a major problem and that action should be taken to keep any temperature increases to below 2°C. The document is not legally binding and does not contain any commitments for reducing CO₂ emissions.^[9] Leaders including Barack Obama and Gordon Brown were pleased with the agreement but leaders of poorer countries and non-governmental organisations were unhappy with the agreement.
